Mike Nead is a producer with more than 20 years’ experience. He has been working with Origin Entertainment since August 2011, where he currently serves as a co-executive producer on Mary, Mother of Christ.
Nead’s previous credits include the award-winning documentary My Run (2009), the romantic comedy Fall Into Me (2006) and the documentary Searching for Norman: A Grandson’s Journey (2004). Independently, Nead produced a short biopic celebrating the career of The Most Reverend Harry J. Flynn, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis (2010).
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1991, Nead spent nine years working in sales and marketing for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation. As the Midwest sales development manager — and later as an independent producer — he developed videos for national sales meetings, product launches, corporate websites and classroom training.
In 2002, Nead launched his own video-production company, Media Neads Inc, writing and producing projects for Fortune 500 companies such as Wells Fargo, Ecolab and SC Johnson, and for Twin Cities-based companies such as Minnesota Public Radio, FICO, KleinBank, GE Fleet Services and the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
In 2003, Nead earned a Master of Business Communication degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and later joined Indiewood Pictures as a producer and Chief Operating Officer. In 2005, Mike began work with Top 20 Training — an educational program empowering youth — assisting its board with business development and marketing across the country.
